In 2013, Wilder Deitz founded the East High School Black Music Ensemble, a group dedicated to teaching music from the African-American tradition to Madison youth. For this concert, Deitz will be joined by alumni of the program for a set of funky, improvisational music. This free performance is presented by the Wisconsin Union Directorate Music Committee with support provided by the UW Credit Union.
