A World Gone Mad:

World War I and World War II

On April 2, 1917 President Woodrow Wilson stated: "The world must be safe for democracy." In four days the United States would enter World War I. On December 8, 1941, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated: "Yesterday, December 7, 1941-a date which will live in infamy-the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan." The United States had now entered World War II. Historian Jim Gibbons will take you through two of the most catastrophic wars in our nation's history, highlighting significant events that thrust the United States into two unwanted wars. These events include the Assassination of the Arch Duke Ferdinand, the sinking of the luxury liner Lusitania, Hitler's ambition to achieve power, the attack on Pearl Harbor, the dropping of the Atomic Bomb and much, much, more!
