Winter Fun in Milwaukee

Feb 20, 2014 02:31PM ● By Melissa Peterson
It's no secret that winter can be a dreaded season for many Wisconsinites. Despite the dreary grey-and-white landscape that envelops the area, there is still plenty of fun to be found if you just know where to look—and greater Milwaukee has plenty of options of indoor and outdoor fun to find even in the harshest of winter weather. Hare are some suggestions for our favorite places that will hold you over until spring:

Indoor Fun:

Head to a Milwaukee Wave game.  These high energy soccer matches are sure to keep the kids and adults entertained.

Take the kids to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum.  This hands-on kids museum is a great place to get the winter wiggles out, and if you go on the third Thursday of the month from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm (year round) you will get free admission during Neighborhood Night; thanks to Fox 6 and US Bank.

Ray's Indoor Bike Park will have your wheels turning inside this indoor park.  Make sure you bring your helmet along and get ready to ride.

Outdoor Fun:

Red Arrow Park, Slice of Ice is a great outdoor ice skating rink located in downtown Milwaukee.  Don't forget that you can warm up at the Starbucks located within the park.
