Horicon Haunted History Tours

Join us for an evening of the macabre and the bizarre at Horicon's Satterlee Clark House Museum! Explore the unsettling and REAL history of late 19th and early 20th century settlement life. "I have toured the house twice before, during the day. I have taken haunted history tours in 2 area cemeteries. All of those experiences have been enjoyable and informative, but the Horicon Haunted History Tour went above and beyond those. The home was beautifully creepily decked out. Costuming contributed to making the characters believable. There was a cohesive story line that held my interest while delivering varied historical information. It was an emotional experience for me, as a genealogist, because I know the events told last night could have happened to my own ancestors. It was scary, not in a horror movie way, but in a hard pioneer life way. Scary because it was real." "You can go to a "haunted house" that is nothing more than jump scares *any* day of the week. What makes the Satterlee Clark House Museum stand out is that the house itself has a history of being haunted. It's unsettling from the moment that you walk in. The curator gives a nice history of some of the things that typically happen in the house. The collection of old dresses. mannequins and dolls is creepy enough in daylight hours, but during the Haunted History Tours everything seems to take on a life of its own. It's not bloody, it's not gory. It's real and completely unnerving." 2016 Dates & Times October 14-15, 21-22, 28-30 Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Tours tend to sell out quickly, and tickets with scheduled tour times are given out.
