Gary Cross calls Waupun home and has been entertaining audiences around the Midwest for over 40 years.
His love for John Denver, and his music began in 1970 when John was the guest entertainer for a Milwaukee County Park’s Talent Competition in which Gary was a finalist. John flew in from Minneapolis but his guitars stayed on the plane and went to Detroit. Gary was asked to supply his guitar for John’s use. They met that day and Gary was inspired to pursue an avocation in music. Gary has put together a performance that pays tribute to the life and music of John Denver. (He is NOT a John Denver impersonator.)
Gary’s singing and guitar playing are supplemented with backup tracks that provide the sound of a full band. He has performed at countless Fireman’s Picnics, County Fairs, Festivals, Rodeos and Horse Fairs, Churches, Private Parties, Corporate Events, Bars & Restaurants, Senior Centers and many other venues, as well as Milwaukee’s Summerfest.
Gary’s blend of country and contemporary music makes for an enjoyable and entertaining evening. He is a personable entertainer who gets his audience involved in the show.
