Snowshoers of all strides, come to Minocqua Winter Park for an exhilarating event, the Moose Tracks Snowshoe Race with 5K and 10K distances. Snowshoes shaped like moose hoofs are not required. Moose Tracks, a Braveheart Snowshoe Racing Series event, kicks-off with a mass start at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2016. The race course winds through the trails and forests of Minocqua Winter Park. Starting from our chalet, racers will complete one or two laps of a scenic and challenging 5km trail that includes sections of cross-country trails, single-track snowshoe trails, and powder. Registration for Moose Tracks starts at $25, and increases to $30 per racer on January 1, 2016. In the event of limited snow coverage, Winter Park staff and volunteers will make every reasonable effort to hold the event, either on the official race course or on a viable, alternate route.
