Stream Monitoring Training
Do you love to fish, canoe, wade, or just watch wildlife at a nearby stream or lake? Do you want to make a contribution to clean water? Join over 70 volunteers throughout the Rock River Basin who are monitoring stream health. The Rock River Coalition (RRC) is holding a workshop at Marsh Haven Nature Center open to all who love streams and lakes. No previous experience is necessary. During this workshop, you will learn how to: Collect and identify aquatic insects., Measure water temperatures, Test oxygen levels, Evaluate water clarity, and Calculate stream velocity.
