Mindful Walking in Nature

Connect to the Natural World in Wintertime

This course offers space to connect to nature in wintertime, gently move the body, and strengthen the muscle of mindfulness through outdoor walking meditations. You’ll be guided through a 45 minute saunter through the nature world on paved paths in nature. Each class will emphasize a unique theme and technique related to experiencing the natural world. Students learn how to see nature and themselves in a new way. Makeup instructions will be offered for missed classes and you can practice the techniques throughout the week on your own. No experience necessary. Beginner’s welcome! You will be walking outside, dress for the weather.

Guided by: Laura Adrian is a yoga teacher, meditation instructor, community herbalist, and writer who finds beauty, awe, and inspiration by directly connecting to the Earth whether in a city park or wilderness expedition. She offers retreats and expeditions across the Midwest where she shares her adventurous spirit with seasoned adventurers and nature curious folks. Through these experiences, she has encouraged hundreds of women to develop wilderness skills, challenge themselves, and develop a more beautiful relationship with themselves, fellow human beings, and the natural world.
