Artists, Crafters, Vendors, Fashion and Creators line the parking lots, fairgrounds and streets of Osage under the fall foliage of this City of Maples. Autumn Artistry in Osage embraces all that the City of Maples has to offer. The amazing fall foliage would easily rival the rivers around. From pumpkins and decor to sweaters and hot chocolate there is truly something for everyone on this weekend. The main business district, activities will get underway at 9 a.m. with artisans from all over the area displaying their handiwork and unique wares in the public parking lots along Main Street as well as special displays in front of their stores. Many of the parking lots will also feature food and other vendors. The second main area of attraction will be at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds. Items for sale at the event will include a fall harvest of pumpkins, gourds and baked goods as well as many handcrafted items, handthrown pottery, painted furniture along with many unique holiday and gift items. You can even bring the husbands as there is activities that will include special displays and food vendors as well as the 13th annual Show and Shine car show. Registration is from 8 to 11:30 a.m. with voting taking place from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Awards will be announced at 3 p.m. Additional "fall" activities for children such as pumpkin decorating, children's entertainment and many more activities will be available at the Osage Public Library. Shuttle service to and from the fairgrounds and the vendor areas will also be provided. According to Marsha Stricker, event organizer, this year's Autumn Artistry will have many vendors as the event continues to grow and draw more patrons to Osage. "We have several new vendors this year, who will be offering some unique and one-of-a-kind items," said Stricker. "It's going to be another great Autumn Artistry."
