BDCH Robotic Surgery open house

Robotic Surgery Open House 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 29th, 2017 707 S. University Ave., Beaver Dam, WI 53916 The BDCH Robotic Surgeons and Surgery team are celebrating over a year of successful operations utilizing our da Vinci Xi Surgical System by holding an Open House event on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the BDCH Conference Center on the first floor of the hospital. The BDCH Robotic Surgeons and Surgery team will be on hand to answer questions about the benefits of robotic surgery, and will be giving a presentation at 6 p.m. We’ve always been dedicated to using laparoscopic surgical techniques whenever possible to help reduce scarring and healing time. But in 2016, we took that dedication a step further when we acquired the da Vinci robot. “Robotic surgery combines advanced technology with the traditional skills of experienced surgeons, with the robot acting as an extension of our eyes and hands,” said Dr. Janie Myers of BDCH Surgical Specialists. “It’s still the surgeon who’s in control and is making decisions – the robot simply gives them greater flexibility." Robotic surgical procedures give our surgeons an unprecedented amount of control and an advanced, three-dimensional view of the surgical field, allowing for procedures that leave fewer scars and allow for even faster healing. In fact, we’re proud to announce the introduction of nearly scarless, single-site procedures, expanding our ability to get patients better without leaving noticeable, permanent scars. The da Vinci is just one important part of our state-of-the-art surgical offerings. We staff our surgery center with an outstanding team of board-certified surgeons, anesthetists, nurses and surgical technicians offering a wide range of innovative and traditional procedures. From cosmetic procedures like varicose vein treatment to joint replacement, we offer our residents the premier surgical center in Dodge County. We also offer advanced rehabilitation services aimed at helping you get back to your life faster after a procedure, including transitional care facilities for those who might need a little extra help before heading home. Please join our celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. and ask any questions you have about robotic surgery, or surgery in general at BDCH. Light refreshments will be served and our team is eager to share what they know with the community.
