Wisconsin Parent

International Archaeology Day

Step into an archaeologist’s boots to explore how these professionals piece together history. Dig into Wisconsin’s past and uncover the story of our state! Family activities will be available on the first floor throughout the day, and highlight tours of our Archaeology exhibits will be offered at 11am and 3pm. The film “Wisconsin’s First People” will be shown at 1pm. International Archaeology Day was created in 2011 to inspire the Indiana Jones in us all. The American Institute of Archaeologists and archaeologists across the world celebrate the professions through archaeological programs and events for people of all ages. The Wisconsin Historical Museum is proud to take part in this annual educational event.
