My grandchild has enjoyed the not-for-profit Blackhawk Ski Club lessons for ten years. Over it's 70 years Blackhawk's grown into a 60-acre facility built by the generosity of volunteers and the community to teach young people cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, ski jumping, biathlon (cross-country ski racing and target shooting), Nordic combined (ski jumping and cross-country ski racing) and mountain biking. In 2017 they added additional bicycle trails and opened a new chalet. The annual ski jumping tournament in January is amazing to watch. Blackhawk has four jumps where they've produced three Olympians!
