Product Review and Giveaway: TrailHoppers Functional Fleece Blanket

Aug 04, 2014 07:40AM ● By Tiffany Malloy
This past year my family and I moved to Wisconsin. I was completely unaware of the glory of a Wisconsin winter. This year was also the year that my oldest started school, so that meant a couple of trips a day to our neighborhood school with my other three children in tow. When it was frigid, I would make that half mile trip in our car, but on reasonably cold days, we’d break out the double stroller and baby carrier.

Typically, I’d bundle up the kids and throw a blanket over them for good measure. This never really worked, per se, but it was the best option I had. The blanket would fall off the kids in the stroller while bustling down the trail. I would try to tuck a blanket around my baby in our Ergo, but her little feet would inevitably sneak out of that blanket again and again. F.R.U.S.T.R.A.T.I.N.G.

This year, I have a better plan. Cozey7 just came out with TrailHoppers, a “functional” fleece blanket that is perfect for keeping our little ones’ legs and feet warm and dry while out in the Wisconsin weather. These blankets have an option of covering my little ones’ feet or keeping it open, depending on the weather. No more cold toes and no more lost socks that somehow slipped off while we were walking.

While we had no snow to try the TrailHopper out in (thankfully!), we did try it while on our trip to the Dells this past week. The mornings were a chilly 55 degrees, and this “blanket” was perfect for my 3 year old to sit out on the deck in and still stay warm.

IMG_4405TrailHoppers would be great to have camping as well, when mornings can be a bit chilly!

The TrailHopper pictured here is size 18months-2T. I had originally got this for my 16 month old (thinking this would be the best size for her this winter), but much to my surprise, it fits my (smaller than normal) 3 ½ year old perfectly! Be sure to check out the FAQ page before ordering your size.

TrailHoppers are proudly made in the USA and each of the 3 sizes (0-6 months, 6-18 months and 18-2T) come in 10 great colors and all fit nicely in their own bag for easy, compact storage. You can check out more pictures of other infants and toddlers in action on their website: www.cozey7.com.
