Wisconsin Public Television encourages families to be active and healthy with PBS Kids Get Up and Go! This outdoor event is geared towards families across the state.

Kids will stay active at PBS Kids Get Up and Go! throughout the morning with an obstacle course, games, activities and demonstrations.

At the Madison location, Steve Songs will have kids up and dancing as he performs a live concert for families. Everyone can take a break as the host, Miss Rosa, reads books to the kids. Community partners will be on-hand to offer karate and athletic demonstrations, crafts, games and giveaways.

At each site, kids have the opportunity to look like their favorite PBS Kids characters by creating their own Clifford ears and a Super Why or Word Girl cape. A special PBS Kids character will also be on hand to greet families.

The event will take place at locations across Wisconsin on Friday, August 1 from 10 a.m.—noon.  For those who cannot make it to the event in person, Wisconsin Public Television will air the event live.
